Mya – Team Lead
Since 2012, Mya has enjoyed coming in each day and having the opportunity to make our patients healthier and happier. She is always ready to tackle the next challenge. When not working Mya enjoys spending time with her two children, traveling is a must, along with all outdoor activities.
Sophie – Dental Hygienist
Sophie has been with Lakewinds since 2016 and loves helping our patients stay healthy and live their best lives. She is a great advocate for improving the overall health of patients by getting their mouths as healthy as possible. She received her degree from Ferris State University and has over 30 years in the dental field. Sophie and her husband Jim, enjoy spending time with their three children and new grandson. Her hobbies include reading, quilting, and relaxing in the sunshine.
Christina – Hygienist
Christina chose Dental Hygiene as her career 25 years ago by graduating from Ferris State University. Her passion is taking care of people in all areas of life especially when she can help them enjoy their smiles. Aside from caring for others, art is her passion. Whether it be comedy, live music, theater or creating things with her better half, Charlie, or incredibly talented daughter, Kendal. She loves living in Northern Michigan and would not breathe right without the Lakeshore. Plenty of beautiful places to walk her Lab puppy, Huk. She looks forward to meeting all our patients and will be honored to help shine up your smile and educate you on your dental health.
Mandi – Hygienist
Mandi is forever grateful to have joined the Lakewinds family in 2013. In the past 12 years, she has enjoyed helping, educating, and building lasting friendships with both her patients and team. She graduated from Southern University with her Dental Hygiene degree in 2011 with high honors and received a 100% passing score on her regional board at the University of Michigan. Mandi has 2 children, a golden retriever, and a cat. She enjoys spending time with family, friends, volunteering at her children’s school, boating, crafts, the beach, the state park, and being a soccer and cheer mom! She can’t wait to meet you, enjoy smiles, laughter, and help you attain your life long goal for a healthy mouth!
Halisha – Hygienist
Halisha has been passionate about dentistry since 2002, when she earned her Dental Assisting certificate from Olympia Career Training Institute. After a decade of helping patients chairside, she decided to take the next step and became a Registered Dental Hygienist through Kalamazoo Valley Community College. Halisha loves building connections with her patients and helping them feel comfortable and confident about their smiles. Outside of the office, she enjoys going for walks, doing arts and crafts, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Judy – Hygienist
Judy has been practicing dental hygiene for 38 years since graduating from Ferris State University. She has previously practiced in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Madison, Wisconsin. Recently, she relocated to Ludington and is excited to care for patients in her new community. Judy enjoys getting to know her patients and helping them maintain healthy smiles. She is married to her best friend and loves reading, cooking, working out, and spending time with family and friends.
Mel – Dental Assistant
Mel has been a wonderful addition to the team since 2018. Her favorite part about being a Dental Assistant is being able to build meaningful, lasting relationships with our patients. She grew up in Fountain, Michigan and currently enjoys the farm life with her husband and kids.
Kelsi – Dental Assistant
Kelsi enjoys spending time with her family! With 3 boys who play sports year-round, they are always busy but still find time to enjoy the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Kelsi has been a Dental Assistant since 2014 but she’s had a lifetime of inspiration that comes from her family. Her grandpa and uncle were both dentists while her grandma, cousins, and aunts were all Dental Assistants or Hygienists as well! Dental comes naturally to Kelsi and is something that she truly loves and gets to enjoy daily.
Maddi – Dental Assistant
Maddi was born and raised here in Ludington, Michigan. She has been working as a Dental Assistant alongside her father, Dr. Martin, since the summer of 2020. She graduated high school in 2023 and is currently pursuing a degree in elementary education. She loves working with our Lakewinds team and being able to serve our patients together. Maddi thrives on connecting with people to make sure they always have the best experience.
Mindy – Patient Coordinator
Mindy is a dedicated dental professional with 18 years of experience in the field. A Graduate of Ferris State University with a degree in dental hygiene. She has spent much of her career providing excellent care to patients. Recently, Mindy transitioned into the role of Patient Coordinator at Lakewinds Dental Centre, where she continues to make a significant impact by ensuring that patients feel welcome and comfortable from the moment they walk into the office. Having recently relocated to the Ludington area, Mindy is excited about the opportunity the community has to offer. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with her husband Steve, their 4 grown children and two granddaughters. She has a passion for outdoor activities, including hiking in national and state parks, biking and golfing. Mindy also enjoys flower gardening and has a creative side that she expresses through painting, crafting and sewing. Mindy looks forward to exploring and contributing to the vibrant Ludington community.
